Perfect place to stay
This was our first hotel experience with our little dog and it far exceeded our expectations. On arrival our four legged companion was warmly welcomed with a goody bag. We had a garden room with direct access to a lawned area and an enclosed paddock specially for dog guests. Our room was smart, comfortable and immaculately clean. It had a small fridge, perfect for storing doggy food (only the best for our Betty!) and an abundance of cupboard space. We had breakfast each day in the hotel and dinner one evening. We were more than satisfied with the scope of the menus and quality of the food. Guests with dogs were separated in the restaurant from those without but the area was equally clean and pleasant, and you didn’t feel excluded. The staff were very friendly, polite and courteous throughout and with almost every interaction they greeted us and our dog by name and made her feel as special as us. The South Lawn Hotel was recommended by a fellow dog walker; we weren’t disappointed. We will recommend it too. It’s location is ideal for coastal, beach and forest walks with the New Forest on its doorstep. Thanks for a fantastic dogcation, enjoyed by both dog and pawrents. We will definitely return!
