My name’s Zen and I’m a newcomer to South Lawn Hotel in Milford on Sea. My family heard about this place from friends, and after just one visit, I can see why everyone raves about it. There’s nowhere quite like it.
From the moment I trotted through the door, I was treated like one of the family. The whole team made such a big fuss of me. I even got a goody bag on arrival (with biscuits, of course) and a personalised welcome letter that told my humans all the best ways to enjoy our stay.
What I love most is that there’s a special section of the restaurant just for dogs. It’s called doggy dining and I get to join my mum and dad for dinner and breakfast. If I’m lucky (and I usually am), I get a sausage in the morning but only if mum and dad say yes… which they always do.
We stayed in one of the Garden Rooms. They’ve got doors that open straight onto the garden and into the doggy paddock, a secure area where I can have a good run around, meet other dogs, and sniff everything in sight. I made so many new friends on my first visit; it’s quite normal here to bump into other happy pups like me. And not just the dogs our humans always seem to make friends too.
The South Lawn gardens are absolutely magnificent. There’s so much space to explore, quiet corners for afternoon naps, and the grass is perfect for a good roll around. I spent hours just running free and enjoying the fresh air.
Every now and then, mum and dad get an email from Tim and Nikki, the lovely owners. As soon as one lands, they’re straight on it especially for the “26 for £26” winter offers and their Spring into Summer deals. They really do look after us, all year round.
Whether you’re a fellow four-legged traveller or a human who just loves a warm welcome, I hope you get the chance to visit. And if you do I might just see you there.
Wags and kisses,
Zen xxx
