A Dogs Tail of Adventure: My Stay at South Lawn

Reviewed by Oscar

Hello hoomans!

It’s me, your four-legged travel blogger, reporting live from my pawsome getaway at the South Lawn Hotel in Milford on Sea. Let me tell you, this trip was a dream come true for a pup like me.

From the moment my paws padded through the doors of South Lawn Hotel, I knew I was in for something special. The staff didn’t just tolerate dogs they celebrated us! Bowls of fresh water, friendly pats, and even treats made me feel like the VIP (Very Important Pup) I truly am.

And oh, the facilities!

Our Garden Room had direct access to the grounds, my humans opened the door and voilà, instant walkies! I could dash straight into the fresh air whenever I wanted, sniffing around the lawns and stretching my legs. The restaurant had a special area in the restaurant just for us pups, Doggy Dining! I could relax with my humans while they enjoyed their meal, without worrying about disturbing other guests. It felt calm, welcoming, and perfectly suited for a hungry hound like me. My Absolute favourite was the dog paddock! A dedicated fenced-off area where I could run free, chase my ball, and play safely. It was like having my very own playground.

Oh, the joy of Hurst Spit! Imagine a long stretch of shingle reaching out into the sea, with salty breezes tickling my nose and endless horizons to chase seagulls (don’t worry, I didn’t catch any). My paws loved the crunch of the stones, and my humans loved the views of the Solent and Hurst Castle.

Every step was an adventure. New smells, new sights, and plenty of space to run free.

If Hurst Spit was my seaside adventure, the New Forest was my woodland paradise. Tall trees, rustling leaves, and ponies grazing nearby. It was like stepping into a fairy tale. I trotted along trails, sniffed every fern, and even splashed through a stream or two.

The best part? My humans didn’t have to worry about finding dog-friendly paths. The New Forest is practically designed for pups like me, with endless trails to explore and wildlife to admire (from a respectful distance, of course).

My stay at South Lawn Hotel was more than a holiday. It was a tail-wagging adventure filled with seaside strolls, forest explorations, and cozy evenings. With the Garden Room, Doggy Dining, and the dog paddock, I felt like the hotel was designed just for me.

If you’re a pup looking to take your humans on a trip, Milford on Sea is the place, and South Lawn Hotel is the kennel away from home you’ve been dreaming of.

Now, excuse me while I curl up for a nap and dream of my next adventure…
